Why You'll Love Our Coated Acoustic Guitar Strings

With our Foxwoods, we aimed to turn the coated acoustic guitar string market on its head. To create a line of coated acoustic guitar strings that don’t feel coated or sound coated, but have the longevity coated guitar string players are searching for.

We did this by using a different coating process than most players are used to — employing a hard enamel coating on the outer wrap wire, while using an uncoated core wire (as it’s already protected due to our famously-tight winds). With this basic recipe and a few tricks we’ve learned over the years, we were able to make a line of coated acoustic guitar strings that is even brighter than our uncoated strings, but has up to 3x the longevity. Yes, seriously.Â
